EVALUATION & TESTING

A neuropsychological evaluation helps determine how intelligence, memory, language, motor skills, executive, social and emotional function affect learning and behavior. A comprehensive evaluation begins with a diagnostic interview followed by individually selected tests that address concerns about diagnosis and treatment. Testing takes between four to eight hours depending on diagnostic complexity and is generally completed over two appointments. A separate session is scheduled to explain test results and treatment recommendations. A report detailing test findings, and treatment recommendations is prepared upon completion.

Dr. Leonard performs all of the clinical services including interviews, testing and report writing. Neurocognitive Associates does not use test technicians or students for clinical services.
